Transferring Credits to the American Board of Surgery (ABS)
To ensure a smooth transfer of your CME credits to the American Board of Surgery (ABS), please update your ABS Learner ID and date of birth (DOB) in your LMS profile. You can do this by following these steps:
- Log in to the LMS using your ASMBS credentials: https://asmbs.org/dashboard
- Click on the LMS Login button at the top of the screen
- Update your Learner ID and DOB in the profile section of the LMS
- Save your changes
To transfer Accredited CME and Self Assessment credits to the ABS for a past activity (2019-2024) or Live Meetings please complete the ABS Transfer Request Form

The ASMBS offers SOARD Journal CME – a free CME service available to ASMBS members.
Two CME articles are added each month and articles will be available online for three years. Each article offers 1 Accredited CME and Self-Assessment (SA) credit. Read the article, complete the evaluation and optional SA test, and claim your credits all in one location.
