Core Obesity Medicine CME for the ABOM Examination Pathway

Beginning with the 2028 certification exam cycle, ABOM applicants must complete at least 45 Core Obesity Medicine CME credits as part of the 60-credit CME requirement. Core credits are offered by ABOM-approved Primary Educational Partners and mapped to the ABOM Content Outline.

ASMBS is developing a 60-credit, online and on-demand curriculum designed to provide qualifying ASMBS Core Obesity Medicine CME credits, when available, that may be applied toward eligibility requirements for either the 2027 or 2028 ABOM examination, as applicable.
