The CBN Certification Program provides several ways for employers, organizations, certificants, and other interested parties to verify CBN certification status, including the public registry, verified digital credentials issued through Credly, and an online credential verification request process.
Public Registry
The public registry serves as the primary method for confirming certification status. It is updated twice annually to reflect certification status changes, including newly certified individuals following examination cycles and certificants reaching the end of their certification cycle. The CBN Certification Program makes every effort to ensure accurate information; however, occasional delays in updates or human or technical errors may occur.

Certificants may request removal from the public registry by contacting the CBN Certification Program at cbn@asmbs.org.
Digital Credential Verification
Active CBN certificants may also hold a verified CBN digital credential issued by the CBN Certification Program through Credly. Each digital credential includes information about the CBN certification and provides a convenient way for employers, colleagues, and others to verify the credential and its current validity.
The CBN digital credential is a shareable representation of an individual’s certification.
