Shimadzu’s Sonialvision G4 LX edition, remote R/F system product line meets the needs of today’s bariatric imaging market. It is a patient friendly system that has been designed with bariatric procedures in mind. The system has the highest capacity weight limit on the market at 700 pounds of total weight acceptance and 500 pounds of table movement. This allows for easy, stress-free transition from a supine to erect table position and minimizes the risk of falls and injury to the patient. To make the system more patient and user friendly, Shimadzu designed the table to go lower than any RF table in the market at 18.5 inches from the floor. This makes for easy loading of patients from either a stretcher or ambulatory position and offers 90/90 tilt capability. Shimadzu’s most recent product is the FLUOROspeed X1, a conventional patient side RF table also bariatric rated for 665 lbs. in a static position and 500lbs for all dynamic movements. With an aperture between the X-Ray tube deck and the table of 31i”, the X1 can accommodate most bariatric patients.
