In 2011, I underwent laparoscopic gastric banding for morbid obesity. Not only did I lose weight, but I gained a tremendous passion for minimally invasive surgery and a dedication to weight loss surgery.

I obtained my medical degree from Rush Medical College shortely thereafter, and completed general surgery residency at UIC-Metropolitan Group Hospitals. My devotion to weight loss surgery inspired me to pursue a fellowship in advanced minimally invasve general and bariatric surgery, completed at Scripps Clinic, in San Diego, California.

I returned home to Chicago, and joined a comprehensive weight-loss center at St Francis Hospital. Our medical weight loss specialist, certified in Obesity Medicine, registered dietician, and psychologist, will help you achieve your health goals.
