About the Provider

I obtained my medical degree from the Luis Razetti School of Medicine at the Central University of Venezuela in 2002. My training in general surgery began at the Ohmori Hospital, Toho University, Japan, for nearly four years, followed by completion at the University Hospital of Caracas, Department of General Surgery. Here, I also pursued a fellowship in bariatric surgery, laying the foundation for my future endeavors in this field. For five years, I worked as an attending surgeon at the University Hospital of Caracas, where I practiced and served as a teacher and trainer for residents and medical students. During this period, I also led a private bariatric practice. After moving to the United States, I joined a surgeon group in Fort Myers, Florida, as a certified surgical assistant. Here, I expanded my role beyond clinical responsibilities, immersing myself in managing the practices health information system and the CMS Quality Payment Program, as well as overseeing clinical workflows. In 2019, driven by my passion for innovation and the cost-efficient use of technology in patient care, I earned a Masters in Health Informatics from the University of South Florida. This academic achievement was a pivotal step in my career, enhancing my ability to integrate clinical expertise and management with technological solutions. Currently, I am focused on optimizing operational efficiency and fostering clinical excellence in my role managing the robotic surgery program at Lee Health in Fort Myers, Florida.
