Dr. John Perrone is a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeon working at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He is the Chief of Bariatric Surgery there and the head of the Weight Loss and Bariatric Center. He received his medical degree from Rowan University and went on to complete a General Surgery residency at St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. He then completed his Fellowship in M.I.S. (Minimally Invasive Surgery) with the St. Luke's Healthcare Network in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. The fellowship was specifically focused in Bariatric, Foregut, and Robotic surgery. Dr. Perrone performs 100% of his Bariatric and Foregut cases robotically. He performs the Sleeve Gastrectomy, Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass, and Revisional Bariatric procedures. He also performs foregut procedures for reflux disease in addition to General Surgery procedures, such a groin hernia repair and gallbladder removal.
