Dr. Cobourn has been performing bariatric surgery since 2005 and has treated over 7,000 patients. He has extensive experience in gastric sleeve, mini gastric bypass, gastric band, and revision surgery. He has been certified as a Master Surgeon by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) since 2018. In 2013, he became the CEO of SmartShape Weight Loss Centre in Mississauga. In 2019, he become the CEO of Clearpoint Health Network (SmartShape Weight Loss Centre is a division of Clearpoint Health Network). SmartShape Weight Loss Centre is based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and has an experienced multi-disciplinary team providing five years of After Care to our patients. SmartShape has been accredited as a Centre of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery since 2015, and is Canada’s only accredited Bariatric Center of Excellence.
