Dr. Johnson is an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Cincinnati and specializes in minimally invasive bariatric and metabolic surgery, gastrointestinal and hernia surgery, as well as complex abdominal wall reconstruction. He served his residency in surgery at the University of Cincinnati, and then underwent fellowship training in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopic, robotic, and Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center. Dr. Johnson also specializes bariatric surgery for pre- and post-transplant patients enrolled in the Transplant Related Interdisciplinary Metabolic Surgery (TRIMS) program at the University of Cincinnati. He is board certified and is a Fellow in the Amercian College of Surgeons. His primary practice sites are UC Medical Center and West Chester Hospital. His bariatric practice includes primary bariatric surgeries, including sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, SADI, and duodenal switch, as well as revisional surgeries and bariatric complications.
