Highlights
Community Physician Network is seeking a Physician Assistant, to join our Bariatric Surgery team at Community Hospital South located in Indianapolis, IN.

1.0 FTE day opportunity
Monday– Friday, 8:30 am – 5pm
Blend of surgical assisting in the operating room, inpatient hospital rounding, and outpatient clinic on bariatric and general surgery cases
Electronic Medical Record – EPIC

Qualifications
Experience in surgery is strongly preferred
Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and dedication to delivering high quality patient care
Must have the desire to practice in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient settings

Licensure & Certifications
Educational background consistent with requirements for licensure and certification within the state of Indiana.

Role Overview
As our Outpatient Clinical Dietitian, you will guide patients through the full spectrum of bariatric care. You’ll work hand-in-hand with medical social workers to ensure patients have the resources, education & support they need, always advocating for their success.

Responsibilities include
Assessing & monitoring nutritional health of outpatient bariatric patients
Developing & implementing individualized nutrition plans
Providing one-on-one & group nutrition counseling
Collaborating closely with physicians & care teams to ensure seamless patient care
Leading patient support groups & creating educational content for social media
Mentoring dietetic interns & supporting professional growth within the team

Minimum Qualifications
A caring, professional, & patient-focused individual who enjoys making a direct impact
Interest in working with bariatric patients & supporting lifestyle transformation
Registered Dietitian (RD) with licensure or eligibility to practice in South Carolina
Certificate of Training in Obesity for Pediatrics & Adults (to be completed within 1 year)
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
