Minimally Invasive Surgeon

The Department of Surgery, Section of General Surgery is seeking candidates for a clinical track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery. Applicants must be board eligible or certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery. Requirements include demonstrated skills in advanced laparoscopic or robotic general, abdominal, and gastrointestinal surgery. Formal fellowship training through a Fellowship Council accredited fellowship is preferred. Training in bariatric surgery is also preferred.

The Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan, founded in 1850, is nationally recognized for excellence in patient care, education and research. The Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery includes surgical care in metabolic/bariatric surgery, benign foregut conditions, comprehensive hernia and abdominal core health, biliary disease, and endoscopy. The successful applicant will join 7 other dedicated minimally invasive surgery faculty and participate in the training of an Advanced Gastrointestinal/Minimally Invasive Surgery fellow each year. Outstanding teaching skills for surgical residents and medical students are necessary. A track record of excellence in research is also preferred.

We are looking for a licensed nurse practitioner to join our growing team of medical professionals to optimize the use of Intellihealth’s Evolve platform in caring for our patients. Duties will primarily focus on the provision of clinical care to patients with obesity and associated medical conditions.
