In alignment with the mission of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) to elevate global health and quality of life by reducing the impact of obesity and its related diseases, the MBS Coordinator Committee is charged with representing and supporting metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS) coordinators across ASMBS membership. The committee will focus on advancing program compliance with American College of Surgeons (ACS) MBSAQIP standards, promoting quality improvement initiatives, and strengthening long-term patient outcome tracking while fostering collaboration, education, and professional development among coordinators.

Through strategic alignment with MBSAQIP standards and interdisciplinary engagement, the committee will support sustainable program growth, improve consistency in care delivery, and strengthen the overall quality of metabolic and bariatric surgery programs.
