Wayne Yang, MD FASMBS

Originally from Detroit, Dr. Wayne Yang, of Suburban Surgical Associates/Suburban Metabolic Institute in Elmhurst and Berwyn, Illinois, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Yang completed his general surgery residency at the Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Michigan, before receiving a fellowship in laparoscopic, bariatric, and advanced gastrointestinal surgery at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. His clinical focus is bariatric surgery, as well as a full range of general surgical procedures, for which he is board-certified.
