I am a full time bariatric surgeon practicing in West Des Moines, Iowa. I have been performing bariatric surgery for nearly 20 years and have performed more than 4000 weight loss surgeries. I had the opportunity to be introduced to bariatric surgery by working with Dr. Edward Mason at the University of Iowa as a medical student in the 1990's. Over the years, my interest in weight loss took over my practice. I currently direct a comprehensive weight loss program with surgical and medical weight loss along with on site dietitians and mental health counseling.
