I provide Bariatric Surgery Weight Loss Psychological Evaluations and help people through psychotherapy, before or after surgery, as needed for bariatric patients. I have been conducting pre-surgical psychological assessments for Minneota surgeons and patients for over 20 years.

I also provide general psychotherapy for adult clients (men, women, all adults) as well as individual and family psychotherapy for pre-teens and older adolescents for a variety of mental health issues, including health and wellness.

I take most all Minnesota commercial insurance as well as Medicare/Medicaid. Out of Network insurance can be utilized by paying up front for services and then a Superbill will be provided to you after completion of services for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

My office is located in Blaine, Minnesota but videoconferencing on-line sessions are available as desired and when clinically appropriate (check insurance for remote coverage).

My education history includes a bachelors degree in psychology, sociology and English from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minneosta, and my clinical doctorate degree was earned in 2003 at the APA accredited Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. Clinical trainings occured at the University of Minnesota, Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC), Bethel College and Seminary, and my Pre-Doctorate Internship was completed at the American Psychogical Association (APA) accredited program at the Univeristy of Manitoba and nearby Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. My Post-Doctorate psychology training was completed at the Range Mental Health Center in Virginia, Minnesota. I also worked 12 years within the Allina Health system in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, and I now keep my clinical practice within the priviate group practice, Soul Work Counseling in Blaine, Minnesota.
