Sergey Lyass, MD, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Lyass received his medical degree from the Moscow Medical University in 1985.
Dr. Lyass completed his training at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, as a senior surgical resident and then chief surgical resident in the Department of Surgery. Following his extended residency training, Dr. Lyass completed a clinical fellowship as well as a research fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Cedars-Sinaiu0027s Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA.
Board certified in General Surgery, Dr. Lyass is the author of more than 100 papers in peer reviewed journals and presentations on Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery.rnrnDr. Lyass is committed to the advancement of Robotic and Laparoscopic bariatric surgery techniques and the exceptional treatment of the bariatric population. Dr. Lyass is an expert in Robotic and Laparoscopic Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery and he is specialized in performing Laparoscopic Gastric Banding, Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy and Revisional Surgery for previously failed weight loss procedures using Robotic and Conventional technique.rnrnHis clinical expertise extends well beyond weight loss surgery.
