I have been performing bariatric surgery for over 35 years. I am the founder of U.S. Bariatric. My career began with open bariatric surgery in the late 1980's but transitioned to laparoscopic bariatric surgery in the late 1990s. However, robotic surgical approach has become the platform of choice today. To date I have performed more than 17,000 bariatric procedures. I have also performed countless revision procedures on both old and new style procedures. I have taught over 400 surgeons how to perform gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy and have assisted in the start-up of over 40 centers. My passion has always been to assist patient's of size in achieving their maximum life potential through transformation.
