Dr. Pial Hope is a board-certified general surgeon with fellowship training in minimally invasive bariatric and foregut surgery. He performs a wide range of ASMBS-endorsed metabolic procedures, including sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and both traditional and single-anastomosis duodenal switch. Dr. Hope exclusively utilizes the robotic platform for laparoscopic procedures and integrates Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways as standard practice. This approach not only improves perioperative safety and efficiency, but also consistently reduces length of stay and facilitates earlier return to baseline function. In addition to primary bariatric procedures, Dr. Hope provides the complete range of revisional bariatric surgery, a highly specialized and complex area within the field.
