In 2020, he established the Obesity Center at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine, which soon became a national and international referral hub for complex bariatric and revisional cases. In April 2022, he was promoted to Associate Professor of General Surgery by the Interuniversity Council of Türkiye.
