Mary Warner, RD LDN

I have been a Registered Dietitian since 2005 and started working with bariatric surgery patients in 2008. I have been doing outpatient medical nutrition therapy for most of my career as an RD. I started becoming more specialized in bariatrics when I was employed by a bariatric surgeon in Northern Virginia who had his own private practice in 2013. Being a part of a patients weight loss journey and helping them improve their health and quality of life has been the most rewarding and fulfilling part of my job. I know that we are changing peoples lives each and every day and I am truly honored to be a part of that. In April 2019, I was hired by UNC Health Lenoir to be the dietitian of their bariatric surgery and non-surgical weight loss programs. I have been working with UNC Health Lenoir since then and in July of 2022, I became the MBS Coordinator. I currently serve as the MBS Coordinator as well as the bariatric dietitian for our program.
