Marcoandrea Giorgi, MD FACS

Dr Marcoandrea Giorgi is a compassionate and caring surgeon with exceptional patient care. He attended the University of Pisa in Italy where he obtained his medical degree and developed interest in surgery. Dr Giorgi trained as a general surgeon at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and further developed his clinical and technical skills by completing fellowship in Advanced Gastro-Intestinal, Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. Dr Giorgi is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, is certified by the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Giorgi has interest in treating patients requiring traditional surgeries with minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques. He has published his scientific works in regional and national meetings and peer reviewed journals. He lives with his wife and two children in Rhode Island.
