Lisa Hale, MSN, RN, CNOR(E), CPHQ, CBN, currently serves as the Manager for the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), a role she assumed in November 2023. Since joining the ACS in 2011, Lisa has played a pivotal role in supporting both the MBSAQIP and the adult National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP). In 2019, she advanced to a senior position on the clincial support team and assumed leadership of the bariatric clinical support team. Prior to her tenure at the ACS, Lisa held a variety of nursing positions, including circulating and scrub nurse and charge nurse in the operating room. She also served as a practical nursing instructor, contributing her clinical expertise and commitment to education. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in December 2000 and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), with concentrations in nursing education and nursing leadership/management, in 2011, both from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She holds specialty certifications as a Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). In addition, she maintains emeritus status as a Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR(E)).
