About the Provider

Born and raised in Tijuana Baja California, México. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Universidad Iberoamericana. I continued my education in Universidad de Chile, where I specialized in Chronic Diseases and started training as a Bariatric Dietitian, 17 years ago. I have treated at this poing, more than 15,000 patients. I have been an active international member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) since 2008, and IFSO. My main goal is to help patients before and after the surgery with their Nutrition and Lifestyle Habits, from a Functional and Integrative Nutrition focus. As a Climate Shaper Certified by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Future Food Institute (FFI), I also try to focus on Sustainable Diets and Food Systems. I have my own Bariatric Cookbook for my clients and Lifestyle Guidelines, which I have been updating almost every year.
