Kelly Broadwater, MA LPA LCMHC CEDS-C

Kelly Broadwater is a psychologist and certified eating disorders specialist with extensive experience in bariatrics. Her clinical practice includes conducting pre-operative psychological evaluations, providing pre-and post-operative individual counseling, facilitating group therapy for bariatric surgery patients, and supervising other bariatric behavioral health specialists. Passionate about educating others, she is an expert on post-operative addiction and eating disorders, frequently presenting on these topics. She has been published in the professional journal Addictive Behaviors and written for the Obesity Action Coalition blog and Your Weight Matters magazine. In 2022, she co-founded BariEDucated with the mission to provide cutting-edge education with proven strategies and techniques to experienced professionals, as well as emerging clinicians, who work in the field of metabolic and bariatric surgery. She has co-authored a book entitled BariEDucated: An Integrated Health Guide for Dietitians and Behavioral Health Specialists Caring for Bariatric Surgery Patients, published in May 2023.
