Dr. Scharf completed his internship in General Surgery at Michigan State University and his general surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in advanced minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Stanford University. Dr. Scharf is Director of Bariatric Surgery at Loma Linda University Health and Associate Professor of Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Scharf specializes in weight loss surgery, robotic, forgut, hernia and general surgery as well as endoscopy. Dr. Scharf has numerous peer reviewed publicaitons and gives numerous regional and national talks in his field of specialty.
