Kabir Mehta, MD MBA FACS FASMBS

Dr. Kabir Mehta is a Mayo Clinic–trained surgeon specializing in robotic & laparoscopic advanced gastrointestinal, foregut, and bariatric surgery, with an active practice in emergency general surgery. He is particularly dedicated to the care of complex surgical patients, many of whom are frequently considered challenging or high-risk. He actively contributes to surgeon education by sharing his operative videos and has maintained thoughtful engagement in clinical research. Beyond the operating room, Dr. Mehta is deeply committed to physician leadership and advocacy. As an MBA, he has actively engaged with healthcare leadership and helped guide organizations toward models that are patient-centered while being protective of the interests of healthcare workers, rather than driven primarily by profits and margins. In addition, Dr. Mehta remains thoroughly invested in patient quality and safety. Dr. Mehta’s ultimate mission in life is to alleviate human suffering arising not only from physical illness, but also from emotional and mental distress.
