Jose Ernesto Escobar, MD Medical Doctor from El Salvador with extensive training in General Surgery, ECFMG certified, specialized in MIS foregut and bariatric surgery. Completed residency and chief residency at Instituto Salvadoreño del Seguro Social, followed by fellowship in Minimally Invasive, Foregut and Bariatric Surgery at Baptist Health South Florida. Now in private practice at Hospital de Diagnostico, El Salvador. Active member of the Asociación Salvadoreña de Cirugia General, founder member of its Hernias Chapter, Member of IFSO-LAC. Became an ASMBS member on September 2025.
