Jonathan Zadeh, MD

Dr. Jonathan R. Zadeh is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in bariatric and foregut surgery as well as other minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Zadeh completed his pre-medical studies with dual degrees at the University of Miami where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He earned his medical degree at Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine where he was awarded honors in surgery. He carried out his residency in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach where he received several honors including surgical resident of the year and research resident of the year. He went on to complete a fellowship in bariatric and foregut surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine / University Hospitals. He then returned to Florida and currently provides top tier care for patients at Mount Sinai Medical Center where he serves as the Director of Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Zadeh holds certificates of verification granted for satisfactory training in bariatric surgery from the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and foregut surgery from the American Foregut Society. He is a member of several medical associations including the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Zadeh has authored numerous publications on topics related to his specialties including revisional bariatric surgery, hernia repair, and quality improvement in surgery. He has had presentations and posters at national and regional conferences including those for the American Society for Metabolic and Surgery and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. He remains committed to advancing the state of the art in his fields of expertise.
