Jon Gould, MD MBA

Dr. Jon Gould is a Tenured Professor and Chief of the Division of General Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he also holds the Walker Chair in General Surgery. He is also the Associate Chief Quality and Safety Officer at Froedtert Health System. He completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the Ohio State University in 2002. He spent the first 9 years of his career at the University of Wisconsin where he helped initiate a comprehensive bariatric surgery program. He moved back to his native Milwaukee and MCW in 2011. He is an active bariatric surgeon and is a past chair of the ASMBS Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee. He is currently co-chair of the national MBSAQIP BSTOP initiative.
