John Zografakis, MD FASMBS

John G. Zografakis, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a Professor of Surgery (NEOMED - Northeast Ohio Medical University), board certified in general surgery. He completed his fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery with Dr. Constantine Fantzides at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare in June of 2004. In August of 2004, he returned to Summa Health in Akron, Ohio (residency in general surgery 1998-2003). He now serves as the Director of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgical Services and the Director of the Weight Management Institute. He continues to perform a high volume of weight reductive surgery as well as advanced laparoscopic general surgery procedures. He is the co-director of the surgical fellowship in MIS and Bariatric surgery at Summa Health. He is active within the ASMBS and the OH chapter of the ASMBS.

He welcomes new patients and has completed over 3000 laparoscopic weight loss procedures.
