Joey Jarrard, MD

I am a board certified general surgeon in Tallahassee, Florida. Originally from a small town in southern Georgia, I obtained my medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and surgical training in Macon, Georgia. I was fortunate to gain exposure to bariatric surgery while in surigcal residency so decided to pursue additional fellowship training in Kansas City, Missouri.

My surgical interests include bariatric surgery, foregut/reflux surgery, and complex hernia repair. I perform a vast majority of my surgeries via minimally invasive approaches. I pride myself in being able to offer a spectrum of surgical options for each surgical disease. I feel that patient's will receive the best outcome if their operation is matched to their personal situation. I truly enjoy getting to know my patients and sharing in their successes and improved lifestyles.
