Dr. Jihad Kudsi commenced his General Surgery Internship at Mayo Clinic MN and completed his General Surgery Residency at George Washington University DC. He went on to receive his fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS)/ Bariatric Surgery/ Therapeutic Endoscopy at Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston, TX. Later, he received an MBA and MS in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
Dr. Kudsi is double board certified in General Surgery and Obesity Medicine with special interest in minimally invasive robotic metabolic and bariatric surgery, anti-reflux surgery, hernia repair and gallbladder disease.
Dr. Kudsi has strong interest in lean management and delivering high quality value-based healthcare with special experience in strategic planning for bariatric surgery service line and how to consolidate it with medical weight loss services.
Dr. Kudsi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition to the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Kudsi also holds membership in other esteemed professional societies including the American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society, Illinois Obesity Society, Chicago Health Executive Forum, and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
