Dr. Gonzalez Hernandez is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced expertise in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve better health through safe, effective, and compassionate surgical care. Dr. Gonzalez Hernandez earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan. She completed her general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, followed by advanced fellowship training in pediatric minimally invasive surgery at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She further specialized with a fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Known for her caring and patient-centered approach, Dr. Gonzalez Hernandez takes the time to listen, educate, and partner with her patients throughout their surgical journey. She is committed to providing personalized treatment plans that support long-term health and wellness. Dr. Gonzalez Hernandez is an active member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
