About the Provider

Dr. Salluzzo is a Bariatric and General surgeon at VCU Health in Richmond, VA, formally known as the Medical College of Virginia, with advanced training in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery. She serves as the Program Director for the Foregut/Bariatric/Advanced Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive approaches to bariatric and foregut surgery, as well as laparoscopic hernia surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. Dr. Salluzzo completed her Minimally Invasive Surgery/Bariatric Fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She completed her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, and her general surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. During her career, Dr. Salluzzo has studied enhanced protocols for postoperative recovery management including dehydration prevention in bariatric surgery patients.
