I completed my general surgery residency training at Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. I completed fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania. I am currently a minimally invasive bariatric and general surgeon at Banner - University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. I hold the academic title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. I am the Associate Program Director of the Advanced GI/MIS fellowship program at Banner - University Medical Center through the Fellowship Council. My surgical interests include laparoscopic and robotic primary and revisional bariatric surgery, foregut, and abdominal wall hernia repair. My research interests include clinical outcomes improvement and risk assessment, as well as surgical education and skills acquisition.
