Janey Pratt, MD FASMBS

Dr. Janey Pratt is a general surgeon who has practiced bariatric surgery and advanced minimally invasive surgery since 1998. Recently transferring from MGH in Boston to the Palo Alto VA and Lucille Packard Children's Hospital. Dr Pratt is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at Stanford University. She is the Director of the LPCH Adolescent Bariatric Surgery program, Dr Pratt is the past-chair of the pediatric committee of the ASMBS and responsible for updating the ASMBS Pediatric MBS guidelines, publication in 2018. She is actively involved in research to bring to light the disparities in care received for obesity in this country, as s strong advocate for children with obesity to get prompt effective treatment.
