I was born in New Orleans and have been Catholic my whole life. I love Jesus! I went to St. Francis Xavier grammar school and graduated Summa cum laude from Jesuit High School, New Orleans. I earned a BA in Latin from the University of Texas at Austin and my MD from LSU Medical School in New Orleans. I had the greatest 5 year General Surgery residency under J. Patrick O’Leary, MD, at LSU-New Orleans. I was the General Surgron of Eunice, Louisiana, for 7 years where I fell in love with my wife, Dody. In 2006, we moved home to be with my Dad as he fought cancer. I joined Surgical Specialists of Louisiana and have since become one of the premier weight loss surgeons and one of the few robotic surgeons in south Louisiana. I specialize in sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and gastric balloons for weight loss, as well as hernias, hemorrhoids, and gallbladders. I am a reflux champion offering the LINX procedure for chronic heartburn as well as hiatal hernia repair. My son, William, was born in 2014, and life became even more exciting! I am a MBSAQIP quality surveyor for Bariatric programs and was President of our Louisiana Chapter of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric surgeons in 2017 & 2018. I really enjoy helping my patients, and I understand that God is the healer and I am just the surgeon. I can’t wait to work with you.
