Jacob Hopping, MD

Dr. Hopping is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine. His surgical training was completed at Saint Louis University. He is a partner with Springfield Clinic, Peoria, IL, and faculty with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He has been practicing general surgery since 2015, and completed a Robotic and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship in 2019. He is currently performing Bariatric Surgery at Carle Health Methodist Medical Center, where he is the director the Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. He has performed over 400 robotic bariatric surgeries and specializes in complex revisions. His practice also includes routine endoscopy and the breadth of general surgery.
