Dr. Diane Copeland is a Clinical-Health Psychologist who specializes in working with weight-loss surgery patients. Through her many years of experience, Dr. Diane is able to assist patients through all aspects of the weight-loss surgery process. Dr. Diane understands the unique issues experienced by the obese in our culture. Bariatric surgery is a very effective tool for weight loss, but it does not change the psychological, social, emotional, and behavioral aspects of obesity. Learning how to maintain weight loss, as opposed to being on a diet involves a whole new set of skills. Empathic and accepting, Dr. Diane works with each patient to gain an understanding of their unique issues with food, and to create personalized, practical tools and strategies for long-term weight maintenance.
