Dena McCoy, MSN RN

Dena McCoy is a Bariatric Clinical Program Coordinator at Baptist Health Floyd. Dena joined the Baptist Health Floyd Bariatric team in December 2025. Dena feels fortunate to be involved in a program assisting patients achieve their weight loss goals. She has held previous nursing positions at UofL Health -Mary & Elizabeth Hospital since starting her nursing career in 2013, such as Staff RN Medical/Surgical, Pre-Op/Post-Op RN, Surgical Services Educator, and most recently, Bariatric Program Coordinator (7/2021-Present). When Dena is not taking care of patients, she loves spending time with family. She has a husband, Alan, daughters Shelby (Alex) and Kara (Peter), grand-daughter Rosalyn - 6, three grand-sons (Ezra - 2, Elijah - 3, & Evan - 1), a furbaby that joined the family in December 2025, and one fur grandbaby (Ruby - 15). Dena also enjoys hiking and biking around the Kentuckiana area. Dena loves traveling across the country with her family, especially visiting national parks with Yosemite National Park topping the list.
