Dr. Craig Smith received his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed his general surgery residency in Savannah, GA, and his fellowship in minimally-invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgery at Indiana University. Dr. Smith is board-certified in general surgery and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and achieved a Fellowship certificate from both the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
Dr. Smith has a special interest in bariatric, anti-reflux, foregut, and hernia surgery. He uses the most advanced minimally-invasive techniques, including the DaVinci robot, to help provide the most optimal patient outcome with the quickest possible recovery.
