Dr. McBride completed a Minimally Invasive Bariatric Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. She has been the director of Bariatric Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and its hospital affiliate Nebraska Medicine since 2002. She is now the Divisoin Chief of General, MIS and Bariatric Surgery. She is the Vice Chair of Surgical Informatics and the Senior Medical Director of Policy and Procedure. She performes primary and revision operations. She was one of the first surgeons in the country to complete the Focus Practice Designation Bariatric Surgery. She is also board certified in Obesity Medicine.
