As a Certified Bariatric Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience in mental health, Chikeitha provides essential mental health support to pre- and post-op bariatric patients, addressing trauma, emotional eating, and food/mood challenges. Chikeitha has a proven track record working with diverse populations, including individuals struggling with obesity, substance abuse, and trauma. Her expertise extends to providing Bariatric Psychological Assessments and delivering comprehensive therapy that equips patients for sustainable success on their weight loss journey. With her 12-week W.A.I.T program (Walk, Approach, Initiate, Transform), Chikeitha delivers structured, results-driven support tailored for bariatric patients. This program fosters resilience, promotes self-confidence, and ensures long-term behavioral change. Her approach is highly customized, addressing the unique psychological needs of bariatric patients both pre- and post-surgery.
