Chikeitha Owens is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Speaker, and Christian author of "Living Life for What It Is" and "Living Life for What It Is Examination Guide." She is the owner of Abundance of Hope Counseling. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has years of clinical experience. She has worked with many populations dealing with Trauma including Obesity, Substance abuse, Foster care, Teens, Adults, and Married couples. Chikeitha graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors in Psychology from Southwestern Adventist university and later graduated in 2007 with a Masters in Professional Counseling from Argosy University.

She is also a Board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for the Texas/Oklahoma Chapter. She has two sons with Juvenile Type One Diabetes. She is a Certified Bariatric Counselor through the American Association of Bariatrics Counselors. Her focus is on Trauma and Obesity. She conducts Bariatric Psychological Assessments and provides Trauma focused Therapy for Bariatric Patients Pre and Post Op. She is the founder of the W.A.I.T program (Walk, Approach, Initiate and Transform) which is a 12-week course for pre and post Bariatric patients. She has had an opportunity to share her gift of speaking on purpose on stages providing her audiences with motivation, encouragement, and a wealth of information.
