Charles Dabbs, MD

After studying human development and psychological services as an undergraduate, Dr. Dabbs went on to pursue a medical degree at his alma mater, Northwestern University. He did his surgical residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and from there joined the Central Ohio Surgical Associates multidisciplinary surgery group in Columbus, Ohio.

Along with bariatric surgery his practice encompasses general surgery including pathology of the small intestine, colon, gallbladder, and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.

His background in caring for people from a mental health perspective informs his practice and helps him to treat patients holistically with the acknowledgement that those struggling with morbid obesity often carry a signficiant psychological burden due in part to the nature of our current society and culture.

In his free time he likes to travel and spend time with his wife and their four children.
