I am a postdoctoral fellow in Clinical and Health Psychology. My main focus is in the area of bariatric surgery and weight management. I provide consultation/evaluation, psychotherapy, and group education classes to patients who desire lifestyle change, medical weight management and surgical weight management intervention, as well as those who have had bariatric surgery. I also conduct research in this area and am particularly interested in the association between chronic stress and obesity among populations which are most adversely impacted by both, and ways to effectively intervene to disrupt this association.
