Candice Chipman, MD FACS

Dr. Chipman completed her general surgery residency at the University of Toledo and went on to complete fellowships in Acute Care Surgery Transition to Practice at Montefiore Medical Center and a Bariatric fellowship at Abington Jefferson Health. She worked in private practice for 3 years initiating their robotic bariatric surgery program, biliopancreatic diversion and duodenal switch, and major revisional bariatric surgery. She has returned to academic medicine and worked at Abington Jefferson Health as a general and bariatric surgeon. She is a former associate program director of the Abington Bariatric Fellowship Program and the Director of the Surgery Clerkship and a former general surgery residency associate program director. She has returned to private practice and is the founder and CEO of Surgical Success Specialists. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
