Candice Chipman, MD FACS FASMBS

Dr. Chipman completed her general surgery residency at the University of Toledo and went on to complete fellowships in Acute Care Surgery Transition to Practice at Montefiore Medical Center and a Bariatric fellowship at Abington Jefferson Health. She worked in private practice for 3 years initiating their robotic bariatric surgery program, biliopancreatic diversion and duodenal switch, and major revisional bariatric surgery. She has returned to academic medicine and is currently working at Abington Jefferson Health as a general and bariatric surgeon. She is currently the associate program director of both the Abington General Surgery Program and the Abington Bariatric Fellowship Program. She is the Director of the Surgery Clerkship. She is the Chair of the Education Committee for Bariatric Surgery across the Jefferson Hospital Enterprise. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
