Brittany Howard has been a PA for 7 years and has had a passion for health and fitness for as long as she can remember. She received her BS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from The Medical University of South Carolina. She recently completed the ASMBS Advanced Practice Provider Assessment-Based Certification course. Brittany has a diverse background as a physician assistant, with experience in pain management, alternative medicine, primary care, and neurosurgery, but has found her passion in bariatric medicine and surgery. She is the senior Physician Assistant and the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Coordinator for Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Liberty, NC. She is responsible for inpatient and outpatient care of bariatric patients, as well as assisting in laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. She is responsible for the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative pathways for bariatric patient care. She is married, has several fur children, and is a professional body builder. In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and refinishing furniture.
