Andrea Schroeder, RN

Andrea Schroeder is a Registered Nurse who has a long association with Bariatrics having worked within the Bariatric surgery field for the past 24 years in both Australia and New Zealand.
Initially within the bariatric surgery industry, then clinically as a bariatric nurse consultant, for the last 14 years she has been working passionately in both a clinical and managerial role as the Director of Tailor Clinics in Hamilton, New Zealand.
With her long-term experience of supporting patients in a bariatric surgical practice, she became aware of the fundamental importance of a holistic approach to sustained weight loss. It was here that she developed a comprehensive life-long pre- and post-operative program, as well as establishing a residential retreat facility aimed at supporting and empowering participants through all aspects of their life transition after weight loss surgery. This program has been developed as a global on-line platform as well.
With the help of her Bariatric team, she develops programs, activities and patient events that provide long-term encouragement and support for all bariatric surgery recipients throughout New Zealand.
