Amelia Lucisano, MD MS

I am a practicing General and Bariatric Surgeon at the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Houston, Texas with an academic affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine, under which I hold the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery. I am Board Certified in General Surgery. I completed a rigorous academic General Surgery Residency at UPMC and advanced training in Bariatric Surgery through successful completion of a Fellowship in Bariatric and MIS at UPMC. I strive to provide excellent clinical and surgical care to our Veterans and am working to make Bariatric Surgery more accessbile to this population. I am formally involved with resident education with the Baylor Department of Surgery and medical student education with the Baylor College of Medicine.
