My name is Dr. Alexander Hien Vu, M.D., M.Sc. and I am a board-eligible minimally invasive surgeon currently completing a fellowship at New York University Langone Health. I previously served as Chief Resident in General Surgery at NYU Langone Brooklyn, where I earned multiple teaching and resident of the year awards. I also hold a dual Master’s degrees in Medicine/Biomedical Sciences and Human Nutrition from Columbia University, alongside a medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. My interests and training include advanced laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic surgical techniques, with board certifications pending and comprehensive training including ATLS, PALS, ASSET, FES, FLS, and robotic surgery. My research focuses on general surgery, bariatrics and minimally invasive surgery. I have several peer-reviewed publications and podium presentations at national surgical conferences such as SAGES and ASMBS.
